What is Evolution?

| July 29, 2011

The process by which something changes gradually into an unlike thing which is in a more complex and better form is what is referred to as evolution. Evolution is the process in which an organism in response to its environment with time becomes more sophisticated. Evolution theory is the most popular theory that explains how life in human being started.

However evolution is not scientifically proven and as such many religions have opposed the theory sighting it to be ungodly. Ironically many evolutionists defend it with arguments of Christian attributes.

Components of evolution

The components of revolution are micro evolution, macro evolution and natural selections. The evolution theory was there long before a single evidence of its components was recorded. Data through an evolutionary view point which was linked to core concepts in the modern evolution theory were then interpreted by the scientific studies.

The idea that drives evolution is natural selection, abnormal organisms are caused by the mechanism for survival of an environmental change that makes them the new normal. This can make an organism to transform into a totally different life form according to the evolutionary theory.

Micro evolution cannot be disputed by anybody.  Jackals, wolves, coyotes, dingoes, many different domestic breeds of dogs all are believed to come from an original dog pair. This shows variation within a kind which is usually a downward variation and is constrained in the genetic codes.

Macro evolution is disputed because it has does not use any variation, is not well documented or observed as the micro evolution. Macro evolution involves important or large changes on the organism’s basic function. This can only happen in a series of mutation but not on a single organism’s life.

There are many gaps in the evolutionary theory that needs to be covered for it to be accepted by many. In Christianity this gap is called faith. In reality evolutionary theory is not different from other religious or philosophical opinions, it is on one side supported by facts and the other side the same facts disapprove it.
